As of July 18, CTA has temporarily lost phone service. Please use email if you wish to contact CTA. We hope to have this problem resolved my Monday, July 21.

CTA is now recruiting a director for the Spring 2009 show "The Adventures of Dr. Doolittle. Auditions for ages 8 - 14 will be held in January and the show will be staged in March/April 2009. Children's Theatre of Annapolis would like to congratulate the actors, artistic staff, and production staff of "Beauty and the Beast" for being the recipients of "The Ruby Griffith Award" for First Runner Up for a musical production. CTA won this distinguished award on Sunday, July 13, 2008. There were 29 other community theatre groups from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. nominated for this award, so CTA is very honored to have been the recipient.

Ruby Griffith was born in London and her professional career was in the field of theatre education. She became the founding member of the British Embassy Players directing and producing plays. In her honor, the British Embassy Players instituted an annual award competition for All-Round Production Excellence. Please refer to the Ruby Griffith website to learn more about the award and this outstanding person, and see a list of winners. Martha Gardner, Mark Espinosa, and Debbie Engler attended the event and accepted the award on behalf of CTA.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for all of your contributions and time and effort to make "Beauty and the Beast" a real winner!

Registration is now open for Summer and Fall 2008 Workshops.
