SUMMARY:Nickelodeon's Spongebob the Musical: Youth Edition—Production Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:The stakes are higher than ever in this dynamic stage musical\, as SpongeBob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance. And just when all hope seems lost\, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage. The power of optimism really can save the world! \nThe SpongeBob Musical is based on the beloved animated series created by Stephen Hillenburg and features a book by Kyle Jarrow\, with original songs by Yolanda Adams\, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith\, Sara Bareilles\, Jonathan Coulton\, Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros\, The Flaming Lips\, Lady A\, Cyndi Lauper\, John Legend\, Panic! At the Disco\, Plain White T’s\, They Might Be Giants and T.I.\, and songs by David Bowie\, Tom Kenny and Andy Paley. Additional lyrics are by Jonathan Coulton\, with additional music by Tom Kitt. The musical production was conceived by Tina Landau. \nAges: 12-18\nLevel: Intermediate-advanced\nTime & Date: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. July 31-August 18\, 2023\, plus two performances: 6:30 p.m. August 18 and 10 a.m. August 19\nTuition: $800 (with current annual registration) \n\nRegister for Camp\n\nArtistic Staff\n\nDirector: Atticus Boidy\nMusic Director: Marie Harrison\nChoreographer: Rebecca Vourvoulas\n\nDetails\nCTA’s three-week production summer camps focus on the main elements of putting a production quickly. During our time together\, students will be put through placement auditions\, casting\, rehearsing\, character development\, working on sets and more. In between rehearsals\, campers will participate in theater games and exercises that will help fine-tune their skills including improvisation\, music and dance. This all leads up to two public performances on our main stage. \nPlacement Auditions: Everyone who registers in this camp is guaranteed a role in the show. A placement audition will be held to figure out the best fit for everyone in the show based upon the Artistic Team’s decisions. Placement decisions will be based upon vocal\, acting\, and dance skills displayed during the process. \nLunch & Snacks: Students must bring a healthy lunch + two snacks each day. Bring a water bottle with your child’s name on it. NO glass bottles. \nAppearance: Students are required to wear black pants or shorts\, a black top (T-shirt\, leotard\, or tank top) and black dance shoes or sneakers secured with laces or velcro. No open-toe shoes\, flip-flops\, sandals or Crocs. Clothing must be appropriate for dancing/movement. Hair must be pulled back and away from the face. \nYour tuition includes: \n\nOne complimentary CTA production summer camp T-shirt*\nDirection / instruction from a highly qualified artistic team\nProduction elements (script\, access to digital recording or rehearsal tracks\, props\, specialty costumes…some basic costume pieces may be requested from home\, if necessary)\nPre-Show Pizza Dinner Party on the last Friday. We’ll provide pizza & bottled water for a team building dinner between the end of camp and the performance that evening.\nTwo complimentary performance tickets. Additional tickets available to purchase at $5.00/person.\n\n**Students must be registered before June 1\, 2023\, to receive a complimentary T-shirt. All others may be purchased for an additional fee of $10.

DESCRIPTION:Presented with Tiffany Shannon Productions\nThis week-long summer camp focuses on singing\, dancing and acting! Students will have a fun time as they sing\, dance\, play improv games\, work on group acting scenes and so much more!
