DESCRIPTION:Production Summer Camp (ages 8-14 Advanced Level Students)\nANNIE Camp Broadway Edition\n  \nBased on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical\, with a beloved book and score by Tony Award winners\, Thomas Meehan\, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin\, Annie Camp Broadway Edition features everyone’s favorite little orphan in her very first adventure. \n  \nWith equal measures of pluck and positivity\, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan’s evil plans\, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks. \n************************************* \nThis two-week production summer camp focuses on the main elements of putting a production together quickly. During our time together students will be put through placement auditions\, casting\, rehearsing\, character development\, and more. In between rehearsals\, campers will participate in team games and exercises that will help fine-tune their theatre skills including improvisation\, music\, and dance. This all leads up to two performances on our main stage. \n  \n******************************************************************* \nStudents must attend the placement auditions on Monday\, June 15 @ 6-9 p.m. Students will be given a script at the placement auditions. Casting announcements will be made the following day. They will be granted access to a Google Classroom with guide vocal rehearsal tracks. All students must come to Day 1 of camp memorized & ready to work. \n******************************************************************* \n  \nCamp Prerequisites & Prior Experience\nBecause this is an advanced level camp\, participating students are expected to have completed at least 2–3 full-length or junior-length scripted productions. \n  \nCAMP INFO\nPlacement Auditions (June 15): Everyone who registers in this camp is guaranteed a role in the show. A placement audition will be held to figure out the best fit for everyone in the show based upon the Artistic Team’s decisions. Placement decisions will be based upon vocal\, acting\, and dance skills displayed during the process. \n  \nLunch & Snacks: Students must bring a healthy lunch + two snacks each day. Bring a water bottle with your child’s name on it. NO glass bottles. \n  \nAppearance: Students are required to wear black pants or shorts\, a black top (t-shirt\, leotard\, or tank top)\, and black dance shoes or sneakers secured with laces or velcro. No open-toe shoes\, flip-flops\, sandals\, or crocs. Clothing must be appropriate for dancing/movement. Hair must be pulled back and away from the face. \n  \nYour tuition includes:\n\nOne complimentary CTA production summer camp t-shirt*\nDirection / instruction from a highly qualified artistic team\nProduction elements (script\, access to digital recording or rehearsal tracks\, props\, specialty costumes…some basic costume pieces may be requested from home if necessary)\nPre-Show Pizza Lunch Party on the last Friday. We’ll provide pizza & bottled water for a team building lunch before the performances.\nTwo complimentary performance tickets. Additional tickets available to purchase at $5.00/person.\n\n*NOTE: Students must be registered before June 5 to receive a complimentary t-shirt.
