DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Playwriting\nIn this workshop students will learn the fundamentals of dramatic writing\, including character development\, plot structure\, and dialogue\, through a combination of writing exercises\, script analysis\, and peer feedback. DESCRIPTION:Musical Theatre Kids: Adventures in Oz\n  \nThis workshop includes foundational musical theatre skills like voice\, movement\, stage direction\, and physical awareness\, along with acting and performance techniques. The curriculum aims to build confidence\, concentration\, imagination\, and creativity through a mix of theatre games\, production\, and group activities. \n  \nCore skills and techniques: \n\nVoice and movement: Exercises focus on breath support\, vocal projection\, and public speaking along with physical awareness in a performance based environment.\nImagination and concentration: Group exercises and games are used to build focus and concentration plus explore with the imagination.\nCharacter development: Techniques are taught for creating believable and authentic characters.\nCollaboration: Students will learn to work with one another to create a cast/team setting to achieve a common goal.\n\n  \nThis workshop concludes with a mini-showcase performance on our main stage free for family & friends to attend. \n  \n  \nAPPEARANCE: Students must dress appropriately for movement. DESCRIPTION:Broadway Kids Spectacular – Session 3 (ages 8-11)\nThis week-long summer camp focuses on singing\, dancing and acting! Students will have a fun time as they sing\, dance\, play improv games\, work on group acting scenes and so much more! There is a free performance on the main stage for family and friends on the final day of each camp session. \nNOTE: Students may register for only one of the Broadway Kids Spectacular sessions. \n  \nLunch & Snacks: Students must bring a healthy lunch + two snacks each day. Bring a water bottle with your student’s name on it. \n  \nAppearance: Students are required to wear dance shoes or sneakers secured with laces or velcro. No open-toe shoes\, flip-flops\, sandals\, or crocs. Clothing must be appropriate for dancing/movement. Hair must be pulled back and away from the face. \n  \nTUITION: $350.00 (with current Annual Registration) \nWHEN: August 10-14\, 2026; 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Performance: Friday\, August 14 @ 2:00 p.m. \nTEACHING ARTIST: Tiffany Shannon Productions … Miss Tiffany has been studying dance & theatre for over 30 years. She trained at Towson University\, The Studio Theatre in DC\, AACC\, Palomar College and CA University in San Marcos. \nYour tuition includes: \n\nOne free CTA Summer Camp t-shirt if you register by May 25\, 2025. After that\, t-shirts will be available for purchase ($15.00) while supplies last.\nAdministrative fees\nProduction materials (script & access to digital recording of rehearsal tracks)\nDirection / instruction from a trained and experienced artistic team\nCraft materials\, props\, sounds\, performance music tracks\, stage mics and lights for final performance\n5 days of instruction\, dress rehearsal\, and 1 live performance\nComplimentary admission for friends and family to attend the final performance\n\nNOTE: Individual costumes will be the responsibility of the actor.
