DESCRIPTION:THEATRE PRODUCTION WORKSHOP :: Ages 7-18\n** HOMESCHOOL EDITION **\n\nThe Rainbow Fish\nEverybody loves the international bestseller and award-winning book\, The Rainbow Fish\, with its wonderful message of friendship and belonging.  This play features a variety of charming school and sea-creature characters. These “denizens of the deep” admire the famous Rainbow Fish\, the most beautiful fish in all the ocean.  But when Rainbow Fish refuses to share his (or her!)  vibrant\, shimmering scales (played by separate actors who are an extension of Rainbow Fish)\, the whole ocean seems to turn against the vain creature.  Unhappy that no one adores him anymore\, the Rainbow Fish seeks out the wise Octopus. Octopus helps the young fish learn that it’s far better to be admired for being kind than for being beautiful. \n************************\nThrough theatre production workshops students gain experience and knowledge in acting techniques\, improvisation\, characterization\, movement\, props\, scenery\, and much more. These workshops conclude with a final performance on our main stage. In production workshops\, teamwork is a major focus and all participants are guaranteed a role. DESCRIPTION:May 16th – June 1st 2025 \n\nDisney’s Finding Nemo JR. is a musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo\, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Marlin\, an anxious and over-protective clownfish\, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo\, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney\, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory\, laid-back sea turtle Crush\, and the supportive Tank Gang\, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves. \nFeaturing memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming\,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food\,” and “Go With the Flow\,” Finding Nemo JR. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family\, friendship\, and adventure. \n**** SPECIAL EVENTS **** \nSaturday\, May 24 at 11:00 a.m. will be a Relaxed Performance. \nRelaxed Performances are specially adapted shows to make the theatre environment more comfortable for those who may benefit from subtle adjustments. DESCRIPTION:Production Summer Camp (ages 8-14): Madagascar – A Musical Adventure JR.\nThis three-week production summer camp focuses on the main elements of putting a production quickly. During our time together students will be put through placement auditions\, casting\, rehearsing\, character development\, working on sets\, and more. In between rehearsals\, campers will participate in team games and exercises that will help fine-tune their theatre skills including improvisation\, music\, and dance. This all leads up to two performances on our main stage. \n  \nJoin Alex the Lion\, Marty the Zebra\, Melman the Giraffe\, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and\, of course\, those hilarious\, plotting penguins as they bound onto your stage in the musical adventure of a lifetime.  Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture\, Madagascar – A Musical Adventure JR. follows all of your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar. Filled with outlandish characters\, adventure galore and an upbeat score\, Madagascar JR. will leave you with no choice but to “Move It\, Move It!” \n  \nSYNOPSIS: Alex the lion is the king of the urban jungle\, the main attraction at New York’s Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends – Marty the zebra\, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo – have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with regular meals provided for them. Not content to leave well enough alone\, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and makes his escape – with the help of some prodigious penguins – to explore the world. \n  \nCAMP INFO\nPlacement Auditions: Everyone who registers in this camp is guaranteed a role in the show. A placement audition will be held to figure out the best fit for everyone in the show based upon the Artistic Team’s decisions. Placement decisions will be based upon vocal\, acting\, and dance skills displayed during the process. \nLunch & Snacks: Students must bring a healthy lunch + two snacks each day. DESCRIPTION:Production Summer Camp (ages 12-18): Shrek the Musical JR.\nThis three-week production summer camp focuses on the main elements of putting a production quickly. During our time together students will be put through placement auditions\, casting\, rehearsing\, character development\, working on sets\, and more. In between rehearsals\, campers will participate in team games and exercises that will help fine-tune their theatre skills including improvisation\, music\, and dance. This all leads up to two performances on our main stage. \n  \nBeauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek The Musical JR.\, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical.  It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre\, Shrek\, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance.  Part romance and part twisted fairy tale\, Shrek JR. is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family. \nSYNOPSIS: Once upon a time\, in a far away swamp\, there lived an ogre named Shrek.  One day\, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad\, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad\, he’s handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona\, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad\, but a fairytale wouldn’t be complete without a few twists and turns along the way. \n  \nCAMP INFO\nPlacement Auditions: Everyone who registers in this camp is guaranteed a role in the show. A placement audition will be held to figure out the best fit for everyone in the show based upon the Artistic Team’s decisions. She has performed professionally in MD & VA by the age of 10. She has trained at Towson University\, The Studio Theatre in DC\, AACC\, Palomar College and CA University in San Marcos. She has performed on many stages and has been teaching voice\, drama & dance for the past 15 years. \n***************************************************** \nANNUAL MEMBERSHIP POLICY: All participants must pay an annual registration fee ($20 for one or more students within the same family) to participate in a workshop/camp.
