DESCRIPTION:Audition Prep Workshop (musical theatre)\nTake the mystery out of the audition process! This workshop is a great opportunity for students to gain valuable experience while elevating their confidence and audition techniques. Students will be divided into smaller groups based on age and will rotate through vocals\, dance\, and acting. By being in smaller groups\, they’ll receive more individualized attention and feedback. \n\nGet your audition materials ready\nAttain effective and confident audition techniques\nGet successful acting skills and mindset\nLearn how to sing\, interpret\, and prepare your song selection.\nPrepare for the dance component of an audition by learning a dance combination with feedback.\nObtain one-on-one + group guidance from local theatre professionals.\n\n  \nNOTE: \n\nStudents must have 16-32 bars of two song selections prepared. DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Playwriting\nIn this workshop students will learn the fundamentals of dramatic writing\, including character development\, plot structure\, and dialogue\, through a combination of writing exercises\, script analysis\, and peer feedback. DESCRIPTION:Musical Theatre Production Workshop\nDisney’s THE LION KING KIDS\n  \nCelebrate the Circle of Life in this timeless story of courage\, friendship\, and destiny. \n  \nAn epic coming-of-age story of Simba\, a young lion cub destined to rule the Pride Lands\, whose life shatters when his evil uncle Scar orchestrates his father Mufasa’s death\, forcing Simba into exile. Living carefree with Timon and Pumbaa\, Simba eventually returns to face his past\, guided by the wise Rafiki\, to challenge Scar\, reclaim his throne\, and restore balance to the kingdom. \n  \n* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * \nThrough musical theatre production workshops students gain experience and knowledge in acting techniques\, improvisation\, characterization\, movement\, props\, scenery\, and much more. These workshops conclude with a final performance on our main stage. In production workshops\, teamwork is a major focus and all participants are guaranteed a role. Drop your kids off at CTA for a fun & enriching evening while you get time to relax knowing that our team will make sure your little one has fun in a safe\, friendly\, positive environment. Kids will enjoy: \n\nDinner (2 slices of cheese pizza & a juice box/bottle of water)\,\nA live performance of CTA’s production of Disney’s The Lion King JR\,\nSnack & bottled water for intermission\,\nMeet & Greet + Photo on stage with select characters from the show\,\nOther activities include craft\, dance party\, & more!\n\nNOTE: Students must dress appropriately for the theatre + movement. Shoes should be secured with laces or velcro (example: sneakers).
