Children's Theatre of Annapolis is pleased to have been awarded one of eight performing arts grants from Phillips Charitable Foundation, Inc.
Children’s Theatre of Annapolis was awarded a grant in the amount of $20,952, the highest amount for the grantees. This grant will fund the replacement of the theatre’s lighting system with state-of-the-art LED lights, saving energy costs and helping to bring its production abilities up to the level of a small regional theatre.
Grants totaling $131,617 were awarded to two community theatres (including CTA) and six schools. "Each of the grantees demonstrated tremendous creativity, dedication and ambition for quality performing arts programs, and we are honored to partner with them in these efforts," said Phillips in a press release.
CTA also congratulates its local neighbors that were also awarded grants: Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre, Naval Academy Primary School and St. Mary's High School.
