Audition Prep Workshop (musical theatre)

Take the mystery out of the audition process! This workshop is a great opportunity for students to gain valuable experience while elevating their confidence and audition techniques. Students will be divided into smaller groups based on age and will rotate through vocals, dance, and acting. By being in smaller groups, they’ll receive more individualized attention and feedback.

• Get your audition materials ready
• Attain effective and confident audition techniques
• Get successful acting skills and mindset
• Learn how to sing, interpret, and prepare your song selection.
• Prepare for the dance component of an audition by learning a dance combination with feedback.
• Obtain one-on-one + group guidance from local theatre professionals.

NOTE:

• Students must have 16-32 bars of two song selections prepared. Bring a digital recording of the accompaniment music (no vocals on the track allowed) on your device.
• Hair must be pulled back and out of the face.
• Wear clothing appropriate for movement. Shoes should be either dance shoes or sneakers secured with laces or velcro. No open-toe shoes, flip-flops, sandals, or crocs.
• Bring a refillable water bottle with your student’s name on it.
• Bring a healthy lunch & snacks.

ANNUAL REGISTRATION POLICY: All participants must pay an annual registration fee ($20 for one or more students within the same family) to participate in a workshop/camp. Valid from July 1st through June 30th annually.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Minimum of 3 weeks prior to class: Full refund minus the annual registration fee.
• 2 weeks prior to class: Refund minus $75 administrative fee and annual registration fee.
• First day of class or later: No refund.
