BIOGRAPHIES
SENIOR CAST SPOTLIGHTS (Listed in alphabetical order)
Peter Cardillo (Action) is a 17-year-old senior at Archbishop Spalding High School. He is thrilled to be back for his 10th CTA show and final CTA musical. Previous credits include: The Addams Family (TMC), Little Shop of Horrors (ASHS), Alice in Wonderland (CTA). He thanks the directors, producers, and his family for their love and support. Special shoutout to Ms. Michelle for taking a chance on him 9 years ago at the age of 9 for his first ever musical James and the Giant Peach JR. Lastly, he is over the moon to be doing this show alongside his best friend, Amaya, who plays Anita.
Jeremiah Gilbert (Tony) is a 17-year-old senior at Severn Run High School, and he is ecstatic to do his final musical with CTA. He has previously done many shows, such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Nick Bottom) and Disney’s The Little Mermaid (Sebastian). Jeremiah cannot be more thankful for his director/mentor Ms. Michelle and his family for their support and lessons.
Madelyn Luebbers (Graziella/”Somewhere” Soloist) is a senior at South River High School. This is her second show at CTA, where she also portrayed Mae Tuck (Tuck Everlasting.) Madelyn has recently appeared onstage with Wood’s Memorial Theatre Company (The Secret Garden, The Hunchback of Notre Dame.) Madelyn is currently aspiring to study Music Education next year. She thanks the artistic staff for their care and dedication to this show; and to her family, for all the support, love, and encouragement. Enjoy the show! Psalm 150.
Brenna McGuire (A-Rab) is a senior in the Apex Arts Acting program. West Side Story will be her third production with CTA. Having previously been in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hermia), Alice in Wonderland (King of Hearts), and having done Tech Crew for Descendants JR and Tuck Everlasting. Other performance credits include: Little Women (Beth), Ride the Cyclone (Noel Gruber), Twelfth Night (Fabia). This upcoming Fall Brenna will be starring as Jim Hawkins in AHS’s Treasure Island. Amaya Shannon (Anita) is a 17-year-old senior at Crofton High School. This is her fourth show at CTA, where she first played Ms. Hannigan (Annie) 5 years ago. Amaya recently appeared as The Witch (Big Fish) at her school. She loves to read and spend time with friends and family. Amaya would love to thank her Vocal Coach Polly Parr, the artistic team, and her family for this incredible opportunity! She is so excited to be doing her last CTA show with her best friend Peter Cardillo. Enjoy the show, daddy-o!
Skylar Switzer (Anybodys) is a 17-year-old senior at Archbishop Spalding High School. This is her 3rd mainstage show at CTA, previously gracing the stage as a featured dancer (Tuck Everlasting) and the Caterpillar (Alice in Wonderland). In the very little time she spends offstage, Skylar loves to draw and be with her friends. She sends her thanks out to the artistic team and especially Atticus for the endless CTA love!

Wyatt Anthony (Glad Hand, Lt. Shrank) is an eleventh grade student in the Apex Arts program at Broadneck Highschool. This is his first production with CTA though he’s done many shows prior to this with other studios. Previous roles include Damien (Mean Girls) and Buddy (Elf: the Musical.)
Addi Bartels (Consuela) is a 15-year-old sophomore at Crofton High School. She enjoys singing, swimming, and playing and listening to music. This is her fourth show at CTA, and her most notable roles are Annie (Annie) and Audrey (Descendants JR). Addi has also been an Alabama Lamb in CrHS’s Big Fish. She would like to thank her family and friends and hopes you greatly enjoy the show!!
Nilsson Benil (Luis, Officer Krupke) is a 7th grader at Key School. He recently performed as Tiny Tim (A Christmas Carol) with Colonial Players and was the Mayor of Munchkinland (Wizard of Oz) a few years ago with Compass Rose. Nilsson’s first show at CTA was Descendants JR and after West Side Story he hopes there will be many more. Thanks to his two moms for their love and support!
Leila Bennett (Maria) is a 15-year-old sophomore at Broadneck High School. This is her second show at CTA where she was Evil Queen (Descendants JR), this is also her first leading role! She loves to read, write poetry, and obviously sing and act. This is Leila’s dream role and she is so excited that she is able to show her favorite story of all time on stage. She would love to thank her family and the artistic team for all of the support. I hope you enjoy the most beautiful story ever told!
Makayla (MK) Brooks (Juanita) is making her stage debut at CTA with this production. A junior at Broadneck High School, she has always loved to sing and dance on stage since elementary school. MK thanks her friends and family for their endless support.

Liam Cool (Riff) attends Spalding ‘28. Last Spring he was in the ensemble for Little Shop of Horrors. This Fall he will play Tony in You Can’t Take it With You. He also performs with multiple choirs. ICS credits include Kristof (Frozen) and Ben (Descendants). TMC credits include: Ensemble (All Shook Up), Zeke (High School Musical), Big Bear (Holiday Show 2023), Curly (Oklahoma), Ensemble (The Addam’s Family.) Liam thanks his Grandparents, Mom, Dad, all of the people who helped make this show possible, and, especially, Ms. Cyndi.
Ashley Earp (Nancy) is thrilled to be back at CTA! She has performed in several CTA shows, with her favorites being Tuck Everlasting, The Little Mermaid, Once Upon a Mattress, and Annie. Ashley is an 11th grader at BHS who enjoys volunteering at school functions, participating in Young Life, and hanging with friends. She would like to thank her family and friends for all their support. Additionally, Ashley thanks the West Side Story Directors, Producers, and Crew for this opportunity.
Israel Gilbert (Bernardo) is a 10th grader at Severn Run High School. Although he’s not new to the stage, he is excited to perform in his third musical at CTA. Previous CTA credits include Carlos (Descendants JR). Israel spends his time playing basketball or with headphones on bobbing to a new song. He thanks the wonderful artistic staff for seeing something great in him, and his loving family for their continued support.
Robert Herzog (Snowboy) is a 16-year-old Junior at Broadneck High School. This is his 5th time performing at CTA and he’s glad to be back. Off the stage, Robert likes to play video games, guitar, and is a drummer in a band (shoutout blue herring!) He thanks his friends for being there with him.
Caspaen Jackson (Chino) is excited to return to CTA for the second time. You saw him first in The Little Mermaid. He likes photography, playing the bassoon, and hanging with family and close friends. Caspaen has been performing in one way or another since he was little, and his favorite roles to date have been Dunstan (Buried Treasure) and Marco (Secret Circus.) Please enjoy the show!
Kilian Junkins (Diesel), 10th grader at Southern High, is having a great time in his first CTA production. Past regional theatre credits include: Spamalot (Dennis Galahad), Sweeney Todd (Anthony), HSM (Troy), Legally Blonde (Warner), The Addams Family (Lurch), 12 Angry Jurors, Beauty & the Beast, A Christmas Story, Wonka Jr, Annie, and YAGMCB. He has also enjoyed the other side of the stage as Director Captain for Schoolhouse Rock, Shrek, and Seussical. When he’s not on stage, he enjoys gaming and swimming. Kilian would like to thank CTA for allowing him to be part of this amazing show!
Teresa Kempton (Velma) is a 14-year-old 9th grader at Broadneck High School. She has loved the arts her entire life and is so excited to be involved in her 9th show with CTA – 5 onstage and 4 backstage. In her limited free time, Teresa enjoys singing, dancing, hanging with friends and family…and going back to theater. She thanks the cast, crew, producers, directors and everyone who helped to bring this show to life.
Sabina Lengbeyer (Anxious) is thrilled to be performing at CTA for the first time! She is no stranger to the theater, having volunteered with CTA for nine years, worked stage crew at various area venues, and appeared in WMPC’s recent productions of The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Secret Garden. Sabina prizes time spent knitting, reading, crafting, collecting tiny things, or singing with her sisters. She sends heartfelt thanks to her family and friends for their support, and to the amazing artistic team for all its hard work. Enjoy the show!
John Lyons (Baby John) is a 12-year-old 7th grader in the Bates Apex Arts Vocal Program. He is excited to be in his 6th CTA mainstage production. John is an alumni of the Broadway Artists Alliance in NYC. As a native New Yorker, he was proud to be cast in this classic story taking place in NY. When not on stage, he enjoys working backstage and playing football for the Cape Cougars. John hopes you enjoy this beautiful production and the hard work put in by the cast, crew, and volunteers to make it happen.
Caeden McConnon (Gee-Tar) is a Sophomore at Broadneck High School. This is his second show at CTA, and he was also Ben (Descendants JR.) Caeden recently performed in Broadneck’s Once Upon a Mattress, and played Emmett (Legally Blonde) at Stage+Screen Studios. He is excited to be in West Side Story, and thanks the Artistic Staff for this incredible opportunity. Enjoy the show!
Vivian “Vivi”McCord (Francisca) is a 16-year-old junior at Baltimore School for the Arts. She’s thrilled to return for her fourth CTA production! Previous CTA credits include: Tiger Lily (Peter Pan JR), Ensemble (High School Musical JR). Other credits: Izzy (Akeelah and the Bee – Centerstage), Juliet/Witch #3/Player (William Shakespeare’s Long Lost First Play – Abridged), Deadite (Evil Dead: The Musical), Sister Mary Luke (Nunsense: The Mega Musical), Dr. Billeaux, Stagedoor Manor (Urinetown), and Juanita (Alice’s Surprise Birthday Party). Caylee Rogers (Rosalia) is a 16-year-old junior at Arundel High School. She is excited to make her CTA debut! Caylee’s past roles include Heather M. (Heathers), Karen (Mean Girls), and JoJo (Seussical). Thank you to the production team and her friends and family for supporting her!
Elliot Scar (Big Deal) is a 16-year-old at Arundel High School. This is his musical theatre debut! He would like to thank his friends, family, and everyone at CTA for this opportunity and Caylee Rogers for introducing him into Musical Theatre. Enjoy this speCTAcular show!
Zoë Sommers (Pepe) is a 12-year-old at Central Middle School. This is Zoë’s third show here at CTA. You might have recognized her from last season’s performance of Alice (Alice in Wonderland) or as Breeze (Finding Nemo JR.) Zoë is ecstatic to perform with such an amazing and talented cast in WSS! She would like to thank everyone who makes CTA such an amazing place and hopes that you all enjoy the show! GO SHARKS!
Sydney Thompson (Debbie) is very excited to be a part of West Side Story! She was featured as Cady and Fiona in her past summer camps. She is an 8th grader at Stevensville Middle School who is OBSESSED with math as it is her favorite subject. Sydney would like to thank Skylar Switzer as they are a senior this year and only having known her for 2 years has built a strong bond with them and wishes them luck on the next chapter of their life. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Madi Ward (Karen) is a 15-year-old sophomore at Broadneck High School and is part of the Apex Arts Program, with a prime in vocal. She has been in 5 mainstage shows at CTA, including The Little Mermaid (Flounder) and Descendants JR (Jane.) Previous credits include: Barbara Maitland in Beetlejuice Jr (Stage and Screen), Paulette in Legally Blonde JR (CTA Camp), Drowsy in The Drowsy Chaperone Jr (Bates), and The Lady of the Lake in Spamalot Jr (Bates). Madi loves to hang with friends, play guitar, record music and all things Broadway!

Teagan Yokanovich (Doc) is a 16-year-old junior at Broadneck High School. This is not her first time playing it cool on stage. Previous credits include Dance Ensemble in The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Woods Church) and Nana Foster in Tuck Everlasting (CTA). When not on stage, you can usually find Teagan playing Roblox or hanging out with friends. She is thrilled to be part of West Side Story; because honestly, who doesn’t love a good “rumble” of applause!?
